Mined Land of Ours
video installation, 2:05 min on loop, stereo, 2012On the 63rd anniversary of the Nakba in 2011 Palestinian refugees crossed the mined border through the occupied Golan Heights in an attempt to return to their places of origin. stop motion video of images of protesters are presented on a blank white background, creating the effect of total dislocation while in fact they are risking their lives to return to where they were ethnically cleansed from.
